Apa Kabar!

Love for 10969 would like to welcome Naru from Indonesia! She is a high school student right now and will be turning 17 this April. We met on Tumblr btw and she reblogs all those heavenly OOR gifs I am too lazy to search for.

Read on to find out Naru’s OOR Love story.

==================================

Q1: How did you find out about ONE OK ROCK & when was the first time you heard them? 🙂

It was in The Beginning era around 2011 if I remember it right. So my friend is a fan of Ikuta Toma and showed me his biography, I read it and it mentioned ONE OK ROCK as one of his favourite artists/musician. At that time I wasn’t really interested. Until I found them in a Japanese music fan base, then I heard Re:make and Wherever You Are and I liked it so much, so I shared it to my friend. Despite of their songs, I don’t know the members or anything about the band at all. After a while, my friend found out more information about them. She showed me their live DVDs. She first told me about how handsome the vocalist is! Lol. Since then we started liking ONE OK ROCK more.

Q2: What is your favorite OOR song and why?

I can’t choose!

But if I have to, that would be Mikansei Koukyoukoku (I like its live version and the lyrics), Sekenshirazu no Uchuuhikoushi (it’s related to my dream about being an astronaut), Last Dance and Always Coming Back (it’s related to the band and me ☺). I ended up with 4 songs lol. I’m sorry.

Q3. Do you collect their merch? If yes, which ones do you have? If you haven’t started your collection, which ones do you plan to purchase first?

My friend bought me 2 official stickers at WAYWAW Tour in Jakarta on 2014 (I still have it untouched lol). I don’t have any other merch than that. I’d like to have their T-shirts because it’s kind of cool and I always wear T-shirts haha.

Q4: Who is your favorite ONE OK ROCK member and why?

I can’t choose again lol. I liked all of them. But if you wanna know, the first time I saw Taka in Re:make MV I was so scared of him lol. I don’t know haha it’s his looks like his hair, beard, and lips are scary for me. And I was like “Ah, I don’t like him. He’s scary! But I like his voice...” lol. But I’m not scared of him anymore. And for Toru, there are some reasons why I like him. I have the gachapin look like him 😆 and the mole near the lips (mine is on the opposite side), so I feel like he is my long lost brother lol. And there are some other reasons I can’t share. So I guess my favourite member is Toru.

Q5: How did ONE OK ROCK change your life?

ONE OK ROCK is like bigger brother for me. I learned many new things from them like how not to give up and keep chasing your dreams, because I nearly gave up until I heard Kimishidai Ressha, Hitsuzen Maker, and “Naive Astronaut”. I met people with the same interests through them, I started to draw because of them, and I started to like singing. And I like listening to them while doing my homework or studying. It lifts my spirit up!

Q6: Have you watched any of their live performances before? What were your expectations before the live and were they met?  Did you have your close ONE OK ROCK encounter and how did it go?

I’ve never been to any live concert of ONE OK ROCK before. Of course, I really hoped to watch them live like any other fans. I’d like to see them perform their older songs. Close ONE OK ROCK encounter? Yes, in my dreams lol.

Q7: Will you watch them live again and if yes, where do you want to watch them again?

I haven’t watched them live like I said before. But I really want to watch them in a live house.

Q8: what is your message for ONE OK ROCK in case they get the chance to see this interview?

Thank you, esp. for your music and everything. Keep doing things with all your heart, because you are best when you are yourself.

Oh, and I’m hoping for some hidden tracks.

==================================

Well, well. Change is good… but being yourself is still best.
