This site is growing so fast and I am so proud of it!!! *happy tears oh yeah!* We’re slowly getting in international people within the system and I do hope our contact page would also be fueled once we establish these foreign stories in this site! I have to admit getting almost all the continents is overwhelming!
But for today’s Fans on ONE OK ROCK: The Interviews, we will be returning to Manila and interview twitter user @aathelioness. She is a follower of mine since I began the media coverage for ONE OK ROCK Live in Manila. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to be in the concert but her story does peer one’s interest as to how she got into the whole thing.
This interview was done in English but she answered in Filipino so the translated version is available below.
Question 1: When did you first hear about ONE OK ROCK and how?
I first heard about ONE OK ROCK from my cousin who used to be a cosplayer. When I got out of my room one day, he was in front of the computer doing his school stuff while playing ONE OK ROCK songs. The first song I think I heard was Liar and then I asked him which band he was listening to and he shared the songs to me.
Question 2: Favorite song?
I like a lot of ONE OK ROCK songs, but the one that made a deep mark to me is Liar because that was the first song that I heard from them and it was the same song that made me a fan. The song is also important because around those times, I was heartbroken. I also like Yokubou ni Michita Seinendan.
Question 3: Do you collect ONE OK ROCK merchandise?
Right now, I just have a magazine (PULP Magazine December Issue). I am waiting for my cousin to send me more.
Question 4: Who in ONE OK ROCK do you like/admire/love the most and why?
Tomoya, because he has the patience on everything Taka has been doing to him.
Question 5: How did ONE OK ROCK change your life?
ONE OK ROCK’s influence in my life is immense. I’m the type of person who doesn’t go out a lot, who has a small number of friends and I’m ok watching tv or listening to music at home. With them in my life, they uplift my spirits especially when I feel down or if I have no one to talk to. They are the reason why I don’t give up especially as I finish my studies as a medical student. Taka is my main inspiration in life. Taka is courageous and keeps moving forward even if he does have family issues. I’m lucky to have a complete family, but Taka’s determination is outstanding. When I listen to their music, my mood is brightened up considerably.
Question 6: Reactions when ONE OK ROCK will come to the Philippines on January? Your journey to the 19th? Expectations? Your Ticket story!
I actually didnt know what type of reaction I should have at that moment! Though it was intense happiness! I even made my room mate join in the fun. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go due to my internship.
Question 7: What preparations then are you doing for part 2?
First, I have to pass the board exam and then work, and save for the next concert. That is one of my goals this year.
Question 8: Doing anything fan-related like artwork, covers and the like
For now, I just support them through twitter, FB, and Tumblr. But i am thinking of doing a cover in the future. I plan to cover Heartache and Yokubou ni Michita Seinendan. I like those songs very much! The tempo and everything!
Question 8: What is your message for ONE OK ROCK if they get the chance to see this interview?
keep on doing the things you love, keep on rockin’, we will always support you all the way no matter what! P.S always take care of yourselves!
You heard the determination of a lioness for Part 2 of ONE OK ROCK Live in Manila. Are you guys working on yours? We might fly overseas in the next update!!!
